AI Disclosure

I am a historian, not a web developer, and as much as I would like to hire one, I can't afford to right now. I built this website with the help of AI tools.

Here is how AI is and isn't used on this site:

• My own words. All articles, biography, research descriptions, glossary definitions, and other written content are written by me. AI does not write my prose.
• What AI helped with. AI tools helped with the site's code, layout, design, page titles and search descriptions, and with formatting and publishing my content.
• Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy was drafted with AI assistance to ensure consistency and accuracy, and I reviewed and approved it.
• Sources and links. Resource links are checked by hand to confirm they're freely available, and any that require a subscription are labelled.
• Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics to see how visitors find and use it. No AI tool makes decisions about you based on that data.
• Corrections. If you spot an error, please contact me and I'll fix it.
